This year’s Thanksgiving will look much different from last year’s pandemic-tinged holiday. More Americans will travel this year, with the Transportation Security Administration predicting roughly 20 million air passengers the week of Thanksgiving. That would be very close to prepandemic levels, the agency said. Vaccines and booster shots have helped enable the return to normal.

Black Friday could also be a hit with consumer demand so high. And even though retailers such as

Walmart

(ticker: WMT) and

Target

(TGT) will close on Thanksgiving this year, sales have already started.
